As I started my Internet marketing business, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I started selling on eBay with the guidance of John Thornhill’s 90 Day Power Seller Challenge and JL Scott’s Cracking the Auction Code. I have seen the Make Money on the Internet ads all over the Internet and thought they were all scams, but I have realized several things over the past year:

  1. You can make it big online
  2. It requires actual work
  3. It will require some learning and there are great information products to help you along the way

Statement number 3 is where I fit in to the equation. I want to be Your Internet Income Advisor and I want you to learn from me. I do post how to videos on YouTube about internet marketing skills that I have learned. I plan to post and maybe host videos on this blog. I would like the videos to be well done and about what my readers want. If you do not know how to do something, use my Contact Me Form to send me questions or video ideas or post a comment.

If you want to make money online without doing any work, then you are going to think many of the information products out on the market are a scam. No matter what the product is or what the product claims, it is going to require work, at least at the beginning to implement the money making strategy. Once many of these systems are in place, the work to maintain them is minimal and you could even earn money while you sleep.

A New Page and a New Theme

As I grow my online business and blog, I continually think about my target audience. Who am I really trying to sell to? At this point, I have two groups in mind. First is the eBay group. I became an eBay PowerSeller in a matter of 4 months. One of the information products that help me achieve this status was the 90 Day PowerSeller Challenge.

Now see what I did there? I just exposed my reader to a link, a link to a product that I am selling. You have to keep thing like that in mind when you are marketing the internet. When people reach your page, what and how are you going to try and sell them? I exposed my reader to a link to a product that I sell. It is full of useful information and it is a product that I personally used and put into action and I personally recommend the 90 Day PowerSeller Challenge.

Anyway, back to my original point. Who am I trying to attract to my blog and web page? This is the Internet and this is a public page, so anyone can view it and I encourage that activity. Anyone that wants to discuss what I post about can participate in a Stay at Home Dad’s Blog. I want to be a work at home dad and have just started to learn about Internet marketing. If you are a stay at home dad and want to share your experiences check out any of the posts tagged as Being Dad. If you are interested in what I am doing or have done in my quest to build a home based business checking out posts in Driving Traffic, Email Marketing, or Opt in List Building.

So the second group in mind is dads that currently work from home or that want to work from home. I strive to move from one of those groups to the other group. I want to be the good stay at home dad. I want to use my blog as a way to communicate what is going, but I do not want to turn off potential customers by sharing too much personal stuff. So, I decided to keep any family business under the Being Dad page. I just added a new page under Being Dad called An Evening with the Girls one of my recent experiences playing with the kids.

Finally, I think I have finally decided on blog style. If you stop by, feel free to comment.

Shipping Information Products on eBay

Filed under: Resale Rights on eBay, Website Updates

I have got a new look to my blog. All of the big time internet marketers have a blog and discuss internet marketing strategies. As you may know, I got my start on eBay selling resale rights. I achieved Power Seller Status in 4 months. I read and applied many of the concepts of John Thornhill. He does not keep his eBay identity secret: planetsms. I learned and applied everything I know under the eBay id complete-home-business-guide.

I started selling in July of 2008 and I was awarded PowerSeller status in October of 2008. During that time I spent documenting what and how I handled every aspect of my eBay business. Many times the why of what I was doing was taught to me by my mentor JL
Scott
.I took videos and wrote an eBook that will be released late January into early February. The eBook details – step by step – how to become a PowerSeller selling eBooks on eBay. Once my book is released I will be starting to sell resale rights products under a different eBay ID. I have not decided on that name, but when I come up with one, I will be sure to blog about it. When selling information products that CAN digitally delivered but are sold at regular auction or a fixed price auction on eBay, a physical product (ie a CD ROM) must be shipped. Now, from what I read, this really crippled many eBay sellers. I came into the resale rights game just after eBay forced sellers to deliver a CD ROM. So, I have never known the ease of a totally automated information product business. After a while, I began to see a pattern develop and started to make multiple copies of my best sellers. This saved a tremendous amount of time when I had to ship.
